Blood for Honey // sonic catharsis via experimental cello organ
Blood for Honey is a flexible record of experimental music for cello + electronics. This collection of work is primarily focused on the alchemy of trauma, shaping grief and loss into something healing via sonic catharsis and pleasing sensory affirmations. Through the use of electronics, scordatura - broken tuning of the instrument, sound baths, drones, distortion and minimalist rhythmic loops, Blood for Honey explores various auditory styles and perspectives while maintaining a focus on interplay between harmonies, special sounds, blended textures, and organic form. All music composed and performed by Annie Blythe.
